Your Application

AYUSA offers you the ability to begin your AuPairCare program all year-round. Depending on your experience and individual requirements, you should begin your application process between one year and four months before your preferred departure date. If you are uncertain about completing your application within a certain amount of time, simply contact us. We will be happy to advise you!

Especially if you are coming to Germany on the Au Pair Visa (all countries outside the EU except Australia, Canada and New Zealand) and you do not know any German yet, you will need at least 3 months to get the minimum level of German that is required to receive your visa. We are happy to support you in choosing the right language program.

In many countries, AYUSA works with local partner agencies. If we have a partner in your home country, the agent will be your main contact to help you through the application process. Regardless if you work with an agent in your country or with AYUSA, the process remains the same.

As soon as you have submitted your pre-application, we will get in touch with you to discuss the program. We want to make sure that all of your questions are answered. You will then receive the application form with tips on how to fill it out, so that it reflects you perfectly. Your complete application consists of your personal information, a medical report, childcare and personal character references, a photo collage and a letter to your host family. In addition, you will need to acquire a police background check, a valid passport as well as an international driving license if you plan to drive in Germany.

Depending on how quickly you complete your application, it is possible to have all documents together within four weeks. Once we receive all documents from you, we will contact you immediately in order to set up an appointment for an interview. If you are working with one of our agents in your country, they will interview you and afterwards your application will be sent to Germany, where it will be given to one interested host family at a time. They will then contact you via telephone or e-mail.
